Beth Schmidt

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

bschmidt@mwvcog.org - 503-540-1618

Beth Schmidt was raised in rural NE Oregon. As a child she walked to and from school in the snow, uphill- just on her way home. She values her roots, and how she learned to navigate a world without sidewalks. Now she is passionate about pedestrian and bicycle safety education for students in Salem-Keizer Public Schools. Beth graduated from Western Oregon University, and has worked professionally for the California State Legislature, and Salem-Keizer Public Schools as a substitute teacher. She enjoys volunteering in her children’s schools and community.

Tania Perfecto

PROGRAM ASSISTANT

tperfecto@mwvcog.org - 503-540-1608

As a child growing up in the Willamette Valley, Tania Perfecto created fond memories on her routes to and from school. She reflects on her childhood as she hopes to educate and advocate for pedestrian and bicycle safety throughout Salem-Keizer. As a first-generation Latina, Tania graduated from the University of Oregon in 2021 with a double Bachelor of Arts. Where she then married her college sweetheart heart Angel, and now lives in Keizer, Oregon with him and their two kids. She is proud to be an active resource in her community and is happy to be a part of Safe Routes to School and the Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments.
